The Sokoto State Government has officially announced the commencement of its graduate recruitment exercise, which will run from Monday, September 22 to Sunday, October 6, 2025.
In a statement signed by Gandi Muhammad, Secretary of the Recruitment Committee, the government explained that the initiative is aimed at creating job opportunities for qualified indigenes across the state.
According to the statement, interested applicants are expected to collect application forms free of charge from their respective local government areas before completing their registration online through the official portal: https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng
Applicants are required to register with valid email addresses and phone numbers, complete their personal biodata, and upload essential documents, including educational certificates, proof of state of origin, birth certificate, and National Identification Number (NIN).
Candidates must also take and upload a recent passport photograph during the registration process.
The committee emphasized that the recruitment exercise is completely free, warning applicants against multiple submissions, which may lead to automatic disqualification.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted through their registered email addresses or via updates on the portal.
“All applications must be submitted between September 22 and October 6, 2025. Any further screening or assessments will be communicated officially,” the statement added.
The committee further advised applicants to ensure they have a stable internet connection during the registration process and urged residents not to pay anyone for the exercise.
It will be recalled that Governor Ahmed Aliyu recently approved the formation of a recruitment committee to oversee the employment of qualified graduates into the state civil service.
The governor explained that the exercise is part of his administration’s plan to engage 3,000 new workers across the 23 local government areas in order to reduce unemployment and strengthen critical sectors of the economy.
The recruitment exercise is open to qualified graduates with NCE, HND, or BSc qualifications who are indigenes of Sokoto State.
