The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has suspended the ongoing Final Year Brethren (FYB) celebration on campus.
The suspension was announced in a memo released in the early hours of today by the Registrar of the institution.
According to the memo, the decision became necessary due to the inability of students to conduct themselves in an orderly manner during the celebrations.
The statement reads in part:
“This is to inform all full-time students that the ongoing Final Year Brethren (FYB) celebration in the institution has been suspended with immediate effect. The suspension is due to the inability of the students to comport themselves in an orderly manner during the celebrations.”
The management further directed all full-time students to proceed on examination break in preparation for the forthcoming second-semester examinations.
The memo also confirmed that the 2024/2025 second-semester examinations for full-time students of the institution will commence on Monday, 25th September 2025, as earlier scheduled.
Meanwhile, students have been instructed to vacate the institution’s premises with immediate effect and ensure they complete all examination registration formalities before the commencement of the exams.
