The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps have officially opened across Nigeria for the 2025 Batch A Stream 2 corps members.

Thousands of graduates are to report at their respective camps on Wednesday to begin the three-week orientation exercise.

The Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier Nafiu , urged the new corps members to embrace discipline, patriotism, and unity as they begin their national service.

He also emphasized the importance of participating fully in all camp activities, including drills, lectures, and skills acquisition programs.

Security and health officials have been deployed to all 37 camps to ensure a safe and smooth exercise. NYSC management also advised parents and guardians to stay in touch with their children through official communication channels and avoid unnecessary visits to the camps.

The NYSC Coordinator, Cross River State, Mrs Oyenuga Joke, had called on all camp officials to be very discipline and responsible in discharging their duties and give in their best in making the 2025 Batch A stream II Orientation course a success.

 

The Coordinator gave this charge during the maiden camp officials meeting in setting the pace for the success of the 2025 Batch A stream II Orientation course at th NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Obubra Cross River State.

She appealed to all officials to work in synergy and avoid any confrontational behavior with the corps members in order to have a hitch free Orientation exercise.

Also speaking during the meeting, the camp Director for the 2025 Batch A stream II Orientation course, Mr Peter Enuma admonished the staff to cooperate with him and make the camp a success.

He noted that no two camps are the same, hence, he appealed for more commitment and synergy amongst the NYSC staff and collaborating agencies.

Mr Enuma also warned against extortion of money from corps members, noting that any official caught will be dealt with accordingly.

Heads of assignments and camp officials made their views and contributions known during the meeting.

They assured management of their readiness to put in their best in making the camp a huge success.
