OAU – In a rare act of service and sacrifice, former Obafemi Awolowo University Student Union president, Folahan Olayiwola, has donated his entire National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) allowance to a public hospital in Abeokuta.
Serving in the Ogun State capital, the OAU graduate, Olayiwola saved all his monthly stipends and used the total sum of ₦640,000 to purchase three wheelchairs and four pairs of crutches for the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta.
At a time when many are overwhelmed by personal survival, this OAU young Nigerian chose to leave a mark of compassion and leadership.
A gesture not driven by fanfare — but by purpose.
