In a surprising turn of events, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has begun disbursing long-awaited arrears to former corps members across the country.
Many ex-corps members have reported unexpected credit alerts of #44,000 from their banks, sparking a wave of excitement and confusion online.
The arrears reportedly cover delayed allowances and other outstanding payments.
While NYSC has yet to issue an official statement, affected ex-corps members are advised to monitor their bank accounts for notifications and keep an eye out for further updates from the scheme’s management.
